Pole Division
Maston Wolfe, Jr., the owner of Northwest Signal Supply, Inc., was formally an engineer and partial owner of a pole manufacturing firm based in the Midwest. After founding NWS in 1976, he realized that the Northwest needed a dependable local pole supplier. With this in mind, he established the pole division of NWS in 1985. At that time, much of the Northwest required “round” poles, in contrast to the near-round, multisided poles that NWS manufactures. However, because of the high quality of their poles, NWS now provides poles for a majority of cities and counties in the Northwest.
NWS primarily manufactures signal mast arm poles and strain poles to compliment their other products. However, NWS has experience with all varieties of tapered, tubular structures, including light poles, light towers, single-tube signal bridges, VMS structures and cantilever sign structures. Northwest Signal employs professional engineers to ensure product design and construction. Every pole manufactured at NWS must undergo many rigorous processes, go through many assembly areas and past many skilled craftsman. The end result is a high
quality pole product.
